Barclays Premier League Preview: Liverpool FC vs Sunderland

It seems like just yesterday that some nitwit from the crowd dropped the beachball off which a Darren Bent shot deflected straight into the goal, sending the beachball into the annals of Liverpool history. Undone by a beachball. And you thought things had hit a new low then. Since then, if I am not mistaken, we were dumped out of the Champions League, the FA Cup and now are staring down in the dumps with only the Europa League and the ever-so-distant looking fourth place the only hopes of salvaging something from this terrible, terrible year.

But then we have suffered much this season. Much more pissing off was last week’s defeat to the old enemy, that other, more fashionable red team. But its about time that the tide turned our way and although Sunderland have it in them to spring a surprise, Liverpool are at home and need this win if they are to qualify for fourth. And being done a favor by our neighbors who gallantly rallied to beat City on their own turf, its time we did ourselves a good turn and beat Sunderland by at least a 2 goal margin.

Please leave Lucas out! Its time we scored some goals.
